MetraSlate
Built by a Metrologist.
MetraSlate was founded by a calibration and metrology professional whose career started in the Navy. Standard is not a software company's idea of a lab: it is built by someone who has done the work, to what the published standards actually require.
The origin
Built from the Standards.
Standard is built by a metrologist, from the discipline itself: ISO/IEC 17025, Z540.3 and the GUM, read as requirements and answered in software. The bench, the QA queue, the backlog and the audit are all in it because those are the documents a calibration lab is measured against, and software that ignores any of them fails the lab at exactly the wrong moment.
That is where the sealed record spine, the exact-decimal arithmetic and the standing rule that nothing ships without measurement come from: the published requirements, worked through from first principles.
MetraSlate is bootstrapped, and we are actively beginning the funding journey. If you run a lab, certify the people who do, back companies like this one, or simply care how this work gets done, we should talk.
Calibration first
The First Edition Was Always Going to Be This One.
STANDARD is a platform for any industry. Calibration is first because it is home.
Calibration's proof is the hardest to earn: a system that satisfies a metrology audit, exact decimals and sealed records and all, carries any industry's work.
ASSET delivers world class asset management with a direct plug into the top of the calibration industry's funnel: asset requests route through Metrologistics to the lab that can meet them on merit.
A lab's own portal customers come straight to their lab. Labs stay primary with their customers, and capability is always the customer's open door.
Work beyond a lab's scope moves through Metrologistics as a network transfer rather than inter-company paperwork.
Why this exists
The Work Deserves Better Tools.
The skill it takes to do this work well is real, and it is too often carried on software that gets in its way. Standard exists to change that. It was built by one person, start to finish. If you know this work and something here is wrong, we would rather hear it than not.
The Best People in This Industry Should Shape It.
The founder answers directly. If you have run a bench, carried an accreditation, or carried a program through an audit, bring it. That is how this gets built right.
