Communication is most useful when the person answering can see the work. In Standard, a representative can inspect the customer, instrument or order while discussing a pickup, a held item, a quotation or the next decision. The conversation supports the service already in progress, so another person can continue with the same context.
Team channels give a group a place to coordinate, while direct messages support a conversation between two people. Staff can reply in threads, mention a colleague, pin a useful message and share supporting files. Related-record links connect a discussion to a record the writer is permitted to name. Opening the underlying record remains subject to the reader's own access.
The customer-service line adds responsibility to the customer's conversation. Its queue shows what needs attention, who owns the response and how long the customer has waited. A representative can pick up the conversation, ask a colleague to help, hand it over and record its close. The customer's portal conversation stays connected to the account, while the laboratory controls which staff may read and answer it.
Connected mail gives staff an inbox, sent correspondence and drafts within the application. Supported provider connections allow people to read, compose, reply, reply to everyone and forward messages. Drafts and mailbox actions use the provider's own capabilities, so the same correspondence can continue through the person's normal mail tools.
Calling extends this customer context through the supported phone integration. The RingCentral integration path links observed caller information with the appropriate account and supports the representative's call controls. Call records, representative outcomes and submitted customer feedback explain what happened after the conversation.
