Employees can request resources and route internal support around the same equipment records.

Use the employee store for equipment and supply requisitions, then connect internal service requests to equipment, priorities, decisions and the people responsible.

The internal store gives employees one entry for equipment and supply requests. The order records the items and quantities requested, the approval decision and fulfilment through inventory. Employees can follow the order while authorized staff manage the decision and handover.

Internal equipment and support work can use the shared service-request foundation. A request describes the need, identifies the relevant asset or work, carries priority and timing, and routes the required decision to the right people. The discussion and outcome remain with the request.

The employee storefront is the entry for equipment and supplies.

Employees browse the listings offered to staff, inspect the item and available stock, then request the quantity they need. Their order remains available in My Orders, with its current status and the approved items.

Authorized staff approve the submitted request or decline it with a reason. Fulfilment records the stock issued for the approved order. The employee request and inventory movement remain connected through the same order.

The equipment record gives internal support a concrete reference.

A device has an equipment identity that can carry its serial number, asset reference, status, site and location. The organization can inspect recorded history and available documents from that record when it needs to understand the equipment's service context.

A service request can point to the affected asset. Staff can therefore see which item the request concerns and open the relevant record while reviewing the need and required decision.

The organization routes internal service requests through its own process.

A service request records the need, priority and due date and can be linked to equipment, a work order, a customer or a quotation. Configurable request types let the organization describe the work in its own terms while retaining a consistent record.

The request can follow an approval chain, name the people it waits on and retain attributable decisions and comments. The relevant person can see the context for the decision and the discussion that led to the outcome.

The internal service workflow remains separate from customer support.

Employee equipment requisitions, internal service requests and customer conversations have different responsibilities. The store records the goods being requested and fulfilled. A service request records the need and decision around equipment or work. The laboratory's customer-service desk manages the conversation with its customer.

MetraSlate product support is a further service relationship. Keeping these boundaries clear lets the organization use the shared equipment, request and conversation foundation without confusing an employee's internal support work with a customer's account.
