Standard by MetraSlate | Public Safety Edition
The Next Edition. In Development.
After the Metrology Edition comes public safety and emergency services: the operational records of an agency, its people and their qualifications, the readiness of its equipment, the review its work requires, and the records it is obliged to keep. It is being shaped with the people who do the work, using Metra Praxis.
Scope
What the Edition is For.
Operations and records around the systems an agency already runs. Not a replacement for them.
Status
Where It Stands.
Discovery, not delivery.
The Public Safety Edition is in development. The platform underneath it exists and runs the Metrology Edition today; what the edition adds is the agency’s own vocabulary, records, standards and workflows, learned from the people who do the work and reviewed by them before anything is built. Examples of how emergency communications work are treated as hypotheses until domain experts confirm them.
Learn the work from the people who do it. Write the whole system down, with the record that cannot be wrong at its center. Put the picture in front of the experts for review. Deliver a bounded first release, and verify it against the work.

Shape the Public Safety Edition.
If you run agency operations, hold the qualifications, keep the equipment ready, or answer for the records, we would like to learn how the work actually goes.
