The platform holds what every business has in common: work and the records it leaves, people and what they may do, equipment, quality and documents, reporting, and the business side. An edition binds an industry’s own structure into those pieces instead of layering it over them.

Metrology EditionThe first edition

What Does Not Change Between Editions.
The record spine, the permissions, the documents and the reporting are the platform’s. An edition never re-implements them.
The record
Every edition works on the same record model: subjects with lifecycles, numbered, with an audit trail under every field.
Permissions
Roles and privileges are recorded against the person and enforced at the door, the same way in every edition.
Documents
Documents a business issues are frozen when they are final. A recipient can verify a sealed document without calling the issuer.
Reporting
Sigma answers questions from the same records the work is done on, in every edition.
Tenancy
Each organization is its own tenant, isolated in the database itself, not only in the application.
